2015 – Current
In 2015, the time had come to begin the process of moving my family back to the U.S. from Italy, so my translation business shifted to a new domain. Under the “SimplyGrey” banner, I enable businesses to succeed in international markets through content writing, editing and translation services. I also advise clients on communication strategy in areas such as marketing, corporate content, and business communication.
2016 – Current
On Medium, I had the great pleasure of working with an amazing group of people on various publishing projects. In 2016, several of us decided it was time to venture off that platform and start up our own site dedicated to promoting authors and their work, and daCunha.global was born. Here, I am a member of the editing staff, responsible for selecting submissions and editing them for publication, and I also help design and run writing contests that attract great numbers of authors and drive readers to our site.
My translation career began in earnest in 2001 after leaving the language training business. As a freelance translator, I developed and nurtured my own translation business, providing Italian clients with quality content in English to help their businesses succeed. I also created and managed my own website and online presence to promote my services.
GL:OBE School of Languages
Not long after moving to Italy, I established and developed a successful language-training business, overseeing staff, technology, website administration and budgeting. In terms of language instruction, I specialized in training Italian business people to communicate effectively in English. It was also here that I first discovered my passion for translating.
